Expect Success!

Did you start your business expecting to fail?  I'm sure you didn't.  You went into it expecting success!  Why else would you start a business?   But then we start experiencing the delays and speed bumps common to all business, especially when just starting, and we begin to doubt.  Now expecting success becomes a bit more challenging.  This requires a mindset shift.  How do you get back on track?


1. Work Your Plan – As a business owner, you have a business plan, right?  Of course you do!  You would not get in your car and drive to a new destination without a roadmap or GPS.  Well, your business plan is your path to success.  When things become challenging, review your plan.  Check to see if a small course correction is necessary.  Then design a step by step strategy to get back on track.  And remember, we all experience setbacks from time to time.


2. Fear is a liar! - Do not let fear derail you.  And perfection is a form of fear. When fear gets in the way, you will fail.
 
3. Set a deadline – Many people work best under pressure. I know I do!  Impose a deadline either by assigning a date for completion of a task, making a decision, or reaching a goal.  Completion of a job or achieving a goal will bring you success.


4. Outsource – Running a business is time consuming.  If you are spending your day on tasks such as maintain databases, answering emails, maintaining your website, when are you doing the tasks that actually help you build your business? Outsource the tasks that can better be done by someone else and focus on the tasks that actually make you money!

5. Check Your Alignment – What?  My alignment?  Yes!  What I mean is make sure your business is still in line with your values and mission.  If it's not, you may be unconsciously sabotaging your own efforts.  Also talk to your family to ensure they still support your dream.  You may be surprised that the family pet is begging for your attention or someone close to you is leaving your office a mess each time you have an important meeting.  If they are attempting to derail your success, whether consciously or unconsciously, it is important to find out why. 


You deserve to be successful!  You should never settle for less!  Success is not something to fear.  It is not unattainable.  February is International Expect Success Month.  Let's celebrate by making today the day we learn to expect success!

Who Said You Need to Have All the Answers?

Remember in school when you were afraid the teacher would call on you for the one question you didn’t know the answer to? A question would be posed and you’d look down at your desk and frantically pray, “No, no, no, please don’t call on me. Not for this one. Please no, not me.” It can be traumatizing to some kids, if they live in fear they’ll look stupid in front of their peers.

Some adults still live with that same fear. Network marketers are particularly vulnerable. What if someone asks you a question for which you don't have the answer?

Here's the thing, though: Who said, or where did you read that you need to have all the answers?  Even if you're a sponsor, team leader, Manager or Director, what is the worst that would happen if you uttered the words, "I’m not sure, but I will find out and get back to you?”

 Never Show Your Desperation

There is a fine line between being assertive and being aggressive, between being proactive and being obnoxious. Okay maybe not such a fine line with being obnoxious – most of us can recognize that behavior.

Got Leads? Using Blog Comments To Get Free Leads for Your MLM

One of the easiest ways to get free leads for your MLM is by commenting on blogs that are relevant to the product you are trying to promote.

When you are just starting out promoting your business online, you should try to leave comments on as many blogs as possible.

Not every comment you leave will be accepted by the blogger and not every comment you leave will get a click thru from a reader. The fastest way to find blogs that will be applicable to your product will be by pasting this into your Google search box:

site: inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “your product”

Quickly interpreted this implies the word blog is in the URL with the words post a comment.

The minus before the second and third terms makes Google ignore any blogs where the comments are closed and where you have got to be signed in. And of course, "your product" is whatever you are promoting.

Look for Active Blogs

Be aware of the dates of posts, you don't want to waste your time posting comments on inactive blogs.

If you have the SEOQuake toolbar on your computer, this will tell you the Page Rank of the blog you're looking at. Page Ranks go from nil to nine, so if you can comment on blogs possessing a page rank above two or three, the standard of the link you get in exchange is better and Google will reward you for that.

A pointless comment is no good to the blogger and it'll be deleted, so you have wasted your time. Occasionally even if you do leave a good comment it may be deleted.  Unfortunately you are in the hands of the blogger.

This is the reason you will have to spend a lot of hours blog commenting. The advantage is that you'll get links back to your website whether or not you get people opting in, which should bring your website up in the rankings.

Look for DoFollow Blogs

Many sites enable you to make public a comment , however they do not enable you to leave backlinks for your internet site. No follow blogs are not going to benefit you, so go on to the next .

You'll be able to see if the names in the comment boxes are spotlighted in blue, i.e. Links and a few blogs permit you to put two links in the comment box.
