6 Ways to Crush It in the Next 6 Months!

2016 is half over.  The first 6 months have come and gone.  Are you on your way to reaching your goals?  No?  Well, don't worry!  There is still time.  We have 6 more months to go.  And here are 6 ways you can crush it by the end of the year!

1. Develop a valuable skill. Are you a top-notch marketer? Great coach? Inspiring speaker? Techno-geek? What are you or what do you want to be known for? Develop and hone that.

2. Ignore the word "no." How do you do that? Get more "no's". Sometimes no simply means not right now. Share your story repeatedly. Get it in front of as many people as possible.

3. Network your way to success. Attend events. Company events. MLSP events. Local networking events. Participate in discussions on Facebook groups. Stay connected with people wherever and whenever you can.

4. Hustle at your own expense. Stop chasing the sale or the recruit. Chase the experience. If you chase the experience, the sales and the recruits will come. Knowledge, experience, and execution is the new money. Get the knowledge. Gain the experience. Execute! Make money!

5. Recognize and take advantage of opportunities. Stop procrastinating! What are you waiting for? If you want it, you've got to go get it. You can't wait for confirmation from the rest of the world.

6. Trust your gut. If this is something you want to do, just do it! If it's not, don't! Don't do something just because someone else is. There are no guarantees in life or business. I love MLSP and Ariix. But I have enrolled people in both who never made it work. Why? Because they didn't really want to do it. And because of that, they weren't willing to do the work necessary to become successful at them.

Interviews Make Engaging and Informative Video Blogs

People buy from those they know, like and trust. And when it comes to working online, this is even more important. So, how do you get people to know, like and trust you? You do this by providing your target market with opportunities to get to know you better. One of the best ways to do that is through video blogging.

With as much as technology has changed and things have become simpler, there's no excuse for you to not be video blogging. Just sharing written content on your site or in other avenues (guest blogging, writing articles, etc) isn't enough. People want to see a face and hear a voice. People have begun to expect it.
If you don't want to put just your face in front of the camera for 3-4 minutes (remember, keep a video short and sweet - anything longer than 3 minutes and people generally begin to lose focus and get bored), doing a video interview is a great way to get around this. Having someone else on screen with you will help take the focus off of you.
Here are some easy tips for video blogging using interviews.

The first thing you need to decide is what software you're going to conduct the interview with. Skype is easy to use and a free option. Then there's always the newer option of doing a Google Hangout and recording the interview that way. These options are great if you're interviewing someone that isn't with you in person. If you're doing an in person interview, you can use your smartphone, a little handheld video recorder, an iPad, etc.
 
Once you know how you're going to conduct the interview, think about creating an outline or preparing some questions for your interviewee so they are prepared ahead of time. Keep it simple. Just jot down a few keywords or something that will help you stay on track and remind you of everything you wanted to cover.

That's all there is in terms of preparation. Then it's just a matter of finding a time that both you and the person doing the interview with you can meet to do it. It's always a good idea to do a quick test beforehand to make sure that audio and video on both ends is working and that recording is clear. There's nothing worse than having a great chat full of awesome information only to realize once it's over that there were technical issues and you didn't get the recording or the audio is messed up.
 
You can make a video interview even more interesting by conducting a roundtable where you bring several people together for a discussion. Again, Skype is an option or Google Hangouts. Of course, the more people you have you'll have to try as hard as possible to stay on track and keep time limited.

If you want your community to get to know, like and trust you more, it's time to start showing them who you are. Put yourself out there on video and let them see the real you. If you're just starting, interview video blogging can help you get more comfortable being in front of the camera because there will be somebody else with you.

MLM Attraction Marketing Revealed

MLM attraction marketing is a web phenomenon that has become increasingly popular over the past several years. Before this time, online marketing had followed a simple pattern - marketing consultants running after shoppers and trying to make them subscribe to the services that they were promoting or to get the products that they were selling on their business websites.

Because these marketers were all competing for the attention of the same individuals, the method could frequently be very daunting and was seldom terribly profitable.

But MLM attraction marketing has made dramatic changes in the industry. So this is what you must become, so that others will be drawn to you. You build your private brand by forming relationships, and by providing answers to the issues, issues and concerns of those with whom you have got the relations.

If you're building your business offline, the same elements apply but you are usually limited as to how many new relations you can form and maintain simply thanks to a shortage of time.

But online, using the world-wide reach of the internet, there aren't any such limits!  You can build and maintain relationships with hundreds, even thousands of people around the planet using state of the art communication technolies.

Think e-mail autoresponders. Offer something of value like a free 5 day bootcamp or other value-based content in return for their contact info. Then simply follow up over a period of time. Provide phenomenal worth and, over time , your new contacts will come to know, like and trust you as the leader they are trying to find and may finally join your business.

So where do you get all this value content, bootcamps and webinars to attract your target market? There are two realistic decisions.

You can create your own content, publish it and promote it. And each top level marketeer will ultimately do this at some level. Or you can invest in one of many mlm attraction marketing systems now available and use the content they provide.

This is commonly a smarter choice, especially at the beginning, because you can gain immediate access to complete training webminars, bootcamp series and even software manuals produced by top earners. You offer this good quality content free and it brands you as being an individual of value.

One of the lessons that online marketers have learnt from experience is that it is tough to succeed when everyone seems to be doing a similar thing. iMovie Makes Video Blogging Easy

It’s true. Your readers are most likely getting a bit bored with your typical written content. They want to be able to connect with you on a more personal level and have almost come to expect to find video content available everywhere – even on your blog. Not to mention that when you do business in the online world, having the ability to instantly connect with your audience makes it easier for them to get to know, like and trust you.

Here’s why: Putting yourself on camera gives your market that personal connection they're looking for. Luckily, video blogging can be done quickly and simply especially with tools like iMovie. Let's take a look at how using iMovie can help you produce a video blog as easily as 1-2-3.

Technically this is really a four-step process because you have to record the video first. But once you have recorded it, you really can put your video blog out there in 3 simple steps. So we're going to assume you already have your content recorded and it's now just a matter of putting it together and sharing it with the world.

Step #1 – Keep it Short

We have terribly short attention spans today. That’s true whether we’re reading a blog post or watching a video, so do keep that in mind when you’re planning your videos. It's All About the Experience

It's a fact.  Dozens of small businesses are closing on a daily basis, simply because they think they don't have the money to effectively advertise.  But numerous low cost or free marketing ideas for small business exist.

The low price offerings of huge retailers like Target and Wal-Mart on various items from electronics to clothing in an attempt to rule the market will cause small retailers to fail steadily. When small businesses fail in competition with these giant companies, many people lose their livelihood and valuable resources are lost by communities.         

What's the solution for small business to remain in this strong competition?

If you are a bricks and mortar business, you've a battle on your hands, particularly if you offer anything that the enormous chains offer. You've got to become unique, a pro in what you do, and offer the best customer service possible. Then market that fact.

Experience, uniqueness and purchaser service are the three main things which are not supplied by these giant chains. Since the small businesses are the spine of our community, I wish to go shopping at small locally based retailers. Furthermore, they are extremely useful and well informed compared with massive chains where you are not going to get the help you would like.

Google is doing everything to prompt small local businesses to get an internet site. If you have a highly specialized business your website can instantly become number one when someone searches for Your Town and your consultant service. Just this straightforward lower cost selling solution can bring in lots of new shoppers. For a small charge you may be listed in local directories, your local Chamber of Commerce and on Angie's list, which will bring more visibility and less cost than any costly magazine or weekly newspaper ad.  And don't forget mobile web access!         

Almost all small business owners have the misconception that it is awfully difficult and costly to start and maintain a website. But that's not true. Cheap construction and upkeep of web site has itself become a small scale industry.

All a small local business desires is a Google map of where they are a page explaining what they do, a section that gives opening hours and contact data, some great footage and maybe a history of the business and that is it!
        
Add an opt in box and a once a month newsletter can go out, discounts can be promoted and sales announced, and with the addition of some affiliate advertising the site can actually make the business owner some money even after covering the minor costs involved.

Online businesses have a much harder time getting themselves to the pinnacle of the search engine lists. They have harder competition and have to deal with back linking, article writing and SEO, and lots of other marketing strategies they must employ to achieve success.  But a small local business blog built on WordPress can function as a means for customers to ask about services and products which will also cut down on incoming calls that often come when attempting to handle other shoppers. It's all about attraction marketing and getting business back to the way that it should be: unique, useful and well informed businesses with wonderful customer service that supply a pleasurable shopping experience for all who walk through the door.

Why Blog?

I was born before the internet existed.  (Grandkids -Yes, I'm really that old.  No, we didn't always have the internet).  So I remember the rise of the blog.  At first, I couldn't understand what was so wonderful about a blog.  Why would I want to spend my time posting what I thought was no more than an online personal diary.  Why would anyone want to read it?  Why would I want anyone to read it?

Of course, I have learned much since then,  Including the value of blogging.  Why blog?

1.  It helps drive traffic to your website.  And who doesn't want that?  Search engines love sites with valuable content.  A good blog provides that content.

2.  It helps generate leads for your business.  Every post is an opportunity to reach a new prospect.  Whether you are including links to your opt-in page or another capture page or placing calls to action at the end of your post, you can use your blog to find new business.

3.  It enhances your credibility.  Post content that your readers find valuable and useful and you will soon become known as an expert in your field.

4.  It works 24/7.  Even when you're sleeping or on vacation, your blog is working - attracting readers, driving traffic, reaching new prospects, building your brand.

5.  It provides a platform to keep your market up-to-date on company news like product releases or upcoming webinars or conferences.

Make Your Talking Head Videos More Engaging

If you’re using videos on your blog, you’re probably making what’s known as “talking head videos.” These are simple to make – after all, it’s just you and a camera – but they can be difficult in terms of engagement. If you think about it, that makes sense. No one wants to watch you chat for 5 minutes. There are some things you can do to make them more interesting, though. Since most people find it easier to learn when visual is combined with audio, video is a natural choice. And by using a concept called picture in a picture and green-screen technology, you can create a better talking head video that gets the results you want without boring your viewer.

Use Picture-In-Picture Technology to Add Interest to PowerPoint

This is easy to do using presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote. First, create your presentation as you want it. You don't want your face to block your text so be sure to leave space (generally in the lower right or left corner) for your video. You will get to choose where you want your face using software like Camtasia with the add-in for PowerPoint enabled. Then simply record the presentation by enabling both audio and web cam video to create the picture-in-picture recording. You can preview it the entire time so that you can see exactly how it will look.

Green Screens Allow for Endless Background Options

Want to have fun with your background? Green screen recording makes it easy. Making a green screen is simple, too. Just buy some bright florescent green poster boards to make the screen as big as you want it, then buy some florescent green duct tape, then simply tape it all together as neatly as possible onto a wall.  Alternatively, you can paint a section of wall florescent green. You can also make a pure white background. Make a white background by using just a white wall, or you can cover the wall with a movie screen, or white bed sheet, or white paper. You can spread the green or white color onto the floor a bit for a better effect.

When you make your recording of your face giving your presentation, be sure to try different lighting options. You’ll want to make sure there is enough light – and coming from enough different directions – to eliminate unwanted shadows. Check out some of the professional photography lighting setups on Amazon. You can buy an entire lighting kit for less than $200, and it will make all the difference in your video quality. 
 
When you’re finished recording, just use editing software to put your PowerPoint file inside the recorded presentation as the background by using the chroma key setting within your editing software. It will look beautiful and seamless.

If all this sounds like a lot of work, another option is to simply choose an interesting background to record against. Bookshelves with a few plants and knick-knacks are a popular choice, as is a nice outdoor scene. Avoid blank walls, and be sure to watch for troublesome details such as plants that appear to be growing out of your head.
Don’t ignore talking head videos. They are still a fantastic way to create more engagement with your audience. After all, nothing creates more trust than seeing you as a real person. But do make an effort to create interesting videos that keep your viewer’s attention.
